First-class all-in-one!
Strengths: Relatively compact for what it does. Nice big control screen with intuitive inputs. High-quality scans. Automatic scan settings do an excellent job with no fuss.
Weakness: Scanning is significantly slower than a top-quality stand-alone. Having the scanning surface so far off the desk makes it a bit less convenient to scan bound materials.
Good value for a top-quality scanner. This machine works with no fuss. Drivers are very solid on WinXP; I have no experience with Vista. Canon top of the line all in one printer
Strengths: The printer makes excellant copies both in color and black and white. Its quiet and has a 3.5 inch lcd readout making operating machine easy and effortless.
Weakness: This machine is big and bulky needing alot of space on desktop. Printer is expensive compared to other all in one printers and needs 7 different ink tanks for making copies costing alot of money.
I am very satisfied with this printer,I had an Epson all in one printer for a number of years but it had software issues . I needed a vista operating system software compatiable printer and I am glad I made the upgrade.

PIXMA MP960 All-in-One
Strengths: Easy to install directions, quick with printing and getting responses from the computer. Scans clearly and copies in color and blank and white.
Weakness: Large and 26lbs of weight.
This is a titan of all in ones and seems to be every thing I need. I'm scanning receipts into my computer to save filing space and hope to do the same for my health care records. This scanner is incredible and the program with it is very nice too. I think it was a smart choice. It is large and takes up a good portion of my desk so that's why I rate it good.
