Best feature is the splash screen
Strengths: Theoretical ability to do Hi-Def, if you own the higher-price PLUS version. Nifty "send a crash report" feature.
Weakness: Slow. Buggy, crashing often. Cannot import S9 projects. Very high system requirements. Definitely not ready for primetime.

Pinnacle Version 10
Strengths: frequently upgraded
Weakness: Crashes frequently without notice.
This package crashes without notice during editing, it is extremely slow moving between video and transitions even with AMD 64 bit processor & 1 GB Ram.
Customer svc. is only avail. via e-mail which does nothing if in a hurry.
I am very unhappy with version 10, I suggest staying with version 9 which is much more responsive but lacks more features.
I have used Pinnacle since version 4.

Unbelievable piece of junk
Strengths: none
Weakness: tons: resources consumption, reliability, customer support and questionable list of new features
The only reason I decided to upgrade to this version of product was its support of WS. In addition to the support I got a memory hog which eventually shuts down my pretty good home computer with 2 GB of memory, horrible boot time, random crashes or hangs and features I would not care for in ages, like ability to keep my media on INet.
